Recycled Treehouse Project

It has been a long, long time since there was any entry for this blog. Reason being the moderator, moi, has found a new home in the land below the wind, i.e. in Sabah Borneo. But do not fret my fellow nature kakis. Langkawi remains very special in my heart hence I am now returning albeit for a short while to bring myself, my new friends and this fantabulous project to where it belongs.

This project is created to bring together people who are concerned about the environment. Its a chance for us to participate in building a small practical monument in the form of a tree house (mostly) built with salvaged & recycled materials, to remind us of our responsibilities to the environment. It will be built in Pantai Tengah Langkawi, where the idea originally sparked. It will be built within the still under construction resort-villa La Pari Pari's http://www.laparipari.blogspot.com/ property, overlooking a pond and paddy fields with picturesque undulating hills in the background.

The volunteers will collectively design, collate materials and construct the recycled treehouse physically between the 20th of December 2011 to the 1st of January 2012, we plan for the treehouse to be completed by New Years Eve!

We forsee people trailing in & out of the project during this dates & we forsee the need for the planning, logistics & groundwork are thought out beforehand.. therefore we have since created the Langkawi Recycled Treehouse Project group on facebook http://www.facebook.com/groups/213112502060326/ to ease this process. We have started throwing ideas on the group page so we can tie everything up at least one month before the project commences. Please join us physically, spiritually or 'cyber'ly?? ;)
