Project 1: Delayed Earth Day Tree Planting

Our first little project materialised on the 26th of April seeing around 100 mangrove seedling planted onto the mud flats near Kampung Kuala Teriang. A concious effort in conjunction with Earth Day on 22nd April.



Wendy 'The Seed Collector' had picked the seeds from Kilim river during her kayak trips weeks prior to the date.

Conveniently during the same weekend there were friends and friends of friends who were visiting the island on 'business' or/and leisure. They were kind enough to land extra helping hands... all 9 pairs strong!



Ohww we had fun... really... stuck in the mud & all...! :D

We are a group of passionate naturalists and outdoor geeks seeking individuals who are keen to join our efforts to explore and conserve the natural wonders of Langkawi. We are residing and working here in the wonderful island of Langkawi and would like to invite like-minded individuals to join us on our escapades… these trips can be a kayak-overnight camp on various of the 99-islands of Langkawi, a trekking cum camp-out on a bay overlooking the Andaman sea, a cycling-homestay trip or anything equally adventurous.

Invitations and plans for these trips will be posted on Facebook at least a month before departure. Participation will be on first come first served basis and is open to all (preferably able bodied and at least 18-years of age) individuals who are passionate about outdoors and nature conservation. We limit participation according to availability of gears and minimum impact considerations. Costs on LNK trips will be shared among all participants (not inclusive of own choice of accommodations and travel costs to/from Langkawi). Please expect basic sharing basis expedition conditions though we do try our best to ensure comfort within ours and the environment’s means ;) Also be prepared to do our part in safeguarding the environment along the trips!

We reserve the right to make appropriate and necessary amendments in regards to all explorations at anytime deem necessary.
